1st Robin of 2012

Friday we had a snowstorm and it was probably the most snow we’ve had that has fallen all winter and look who shows up but the 1st Spring Robin of the year. What a sight it was watching it perched with the snow falling around it. I always get excited welcoming these birds back from their winter homes. I know some Robins stick around for the winter, but they aren’t visiting our backyard if they do. Welcome back my pretty friends!

What a glorious, colorful sign of spring to see your little friend perched on the snowy branch. I feel the same way you do about Robins, Joleen and I’d like to officially welcome them back to our area by inviting them and their cousins to fly over to our back yard for a snack and a dip in our heated bird bath. Your number one fan. Senora Anna

Ann, as usual, you’ve made me feel extremely good about myself. I’ll be sure and tell the Robins to stop over to your place!
