The Yard Gives Back…

American Goldfinch

This year I told my husband, Bruce, NOT to cut down the flowers next to the pond as our birds love to feed off the seeds they produce. It’s wonderful to see our yard supplying food this way for our feathered friends. This American Goldfinch is enjoying some of the bounty our yard gives and it looks like this guy is enjoying the seeds from the Black-eyed Susan’s. Enjoy the bounty that this brings my cute little friends.

I love how the Goldfinch’s muted fall plumage fits in so nicely with what is left of your black-eyed Susans. It makes a lovely photograph. Thanks for sharing!
