Cute Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Ruby-crowned Kinglet

I love to see this little bird when he visits the yard, but he is continually on the go! Hard to get a picture of this bird, but I think I captured him pretty well. This is just one of the birds that come through here on their migration south. Safe trip little one and maybe I’ll still get to see you around the yard for a couple more weeks, but then look for your return next spring.

Hoarding the Seeds for Winter..

Tufted Titmouse

It’s that time of year when certain birds, this Tufted Titmouse among them, start gathering seeds and hiding them for later use.  This birds beek looks extra long as he has a sunflower seed sticking out the end of it.  Lots of activity in the yard along with warblers coming through and heading south. I’m not anxious for winter to come, but what choice do I have. I just hope I’m able to get some nice photos this winter to update the blog now and again. Enjoy this fall day!

The Colors of Fall….

Fall bath for the Robin

Fall bath for the Robin

Even though winter is right around the corner, this is my favorite season of all. The colors are so brilliant and you can just feel the crispiness in the air. This is an older photo taken a few years ago, but one of my favorites, so I wanted to share it again with everyone. The Robins have been enjoying the birdbaths and are fun to watch when they “talk” to one another.  Take the time to enjoy this beautiful season and let’s hope it’s a LONG one!
